Dr. Frank Thomas, former president of the Stearns Company, is shown at the old Stearns Depot in 1991 just prior to its major renovation. He was instrumental in obtaining funding for the project as well as a founding member of the McCreary County Museum located in the former Stearns Coal and Lumber Company building where he once had an office.
