Conway Twitty enjoyed soup beans with McCreary County family

— The late Maggie Bryant and her son, the late Roy Bryant, went to enjoy a show by Conway Twitty at Tombstone Junction. Maggie always went backstage to meet the stars. While talking to Conway, ‘Mamo’ told him she was going home to eat soup beans. Conway responed by noting it had been a long time since he had had any beans. Maggie invited him to come on down. About an hour later a giant bus pulled up in front of Mamo’s house. Out walked Conway. “Miss Maggie, I came for your beans and cornbread,” he stated. After eating they took lots of pictures.
