Elsie Ross

— Elsie Ross, age 92 years, 7 months, and 11 days, of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. David Troxell, Bro. Glen Whitehead, and Bro. Shane Slavey officiating. Burial followed in the Angel Cemetery.
She was born September 5, 1915 in McCreary County, Kentucky to George Ross and Susie Hill West. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Rock United Baptist Church. Elsie enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading her bible, meeting new people, and caring for her family and her animals.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Leamon Ross, whom she married on February 21, 1930, a son, Leyland Ross, two daughters, Elsie Louise Smith and Brenda Sue Cox, and a great grandson, Jeffery Cox.
Survivors include a son, Larry Ray Ross, of Ocala, Florida, two daughters, Beatrice Foster, of Stearns, and Bonnie Lou Robertson and her husband, Bob, of Plant City, Florida, a sister, Alberta Gargis, of Florida, twenty two grandchildren, fifty two great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and Kathy Keith and Boneita Worley were raised as daughters.
