LTC Imogene Foster

LTC Imogene Foster, age 75, died August 23, 2008 at the University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Rite of Interment services were held Friday August 29, 2008 at 2:00pm at the Stearns Cemetery with Father Peter Joseph officiating.

She was born the daughter of the late James Floyd “Midnight” and Martha Jane Jones Foster. She had four brothers Floyd Jr., Hobert, George, Robert “Rob” and a sister Allieree.

She was a native of Stearns, Kentucky and had resided in the Augusta, Georgia area for 30 years. She graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Nursing School in Cincinnati, Ohio and retired after 28 years of service from the US Army Nursing Corps. She served 2 tours in Vietnam, and was a member of St. Mary on the hill Catholic Church.

Funeral Mass was held Wednesday August 27, 2008 at 1:00PM at the St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Rev. Ed Frank celebrant. A Wake service will be held Tuesday August 26, 2008 at 7:00PM with Military Honors and Family will receive friends until 8:30PM at Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors.
