Raiders drop two by one

By DON PERRY
Record Sports Writer

After picking up a one-run win in extra innings against Whitley County, the Raiders have had the favor returned twice.

Following the 9-8 win over the Colonels, McCreary Central has lost its last two games by a single run each time out.

Last Tuesday night the Raiders lost to a good Corbin team 8-7.

On Saturday they fell at tradition rich Pulaski County 4-3.

The loss to the Maroons drops the Raiders to 12-13 overall on the season with a handful of games remaining on the schedule, including three at home.

The Raiders played host to North Laurel on Monday night and will play their final two home games as part of a Saturday double-header against West Jessamine on May 17. Those games are scheduled to begin at noon at 2:15 p.m.

The Raiders will then play Wayne County on the road to opening the district tournament on Monday, May 19.
