Pine Knot Off Road Track Holds First Event of Season

After some extensive renovations and an opening day rain out the Southern Kentucky Off Road Complex finally got their season underway this past Saturday.

Approximately 30 vehicles ranging from small ATV’s to modified 4X4 racing trucks took to the dirt at the track located on the site of the former Pine Knot Speedway just north of the State Line.

Despite a few expected opening day kinks the track, which is under new ownership, put on a solid show from high flying ATV’s to mud slingin’ in the bogs to all out, truck flippin’ racing in the modified class.

Events are scheduled to be held every other Saturday with the off Saturday’s to be used for makeup dates as needed. This Saturday’s racing is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM with gates opening at 11:00. Admission is $6.00 for general admission and $15.00 for pit passes. Children 5 and under are admitted free.
